Mary is a wonderful doula. Her presense throughout my pregnancy and during delivery was invaluable beyond words. This was my first pregnancy and it was a unique and extremely stressful situation. At 17 weeks I found out that my daughter had Gastroschisis and would need surgery at birth as well as significant NICU time. I also completed my pregnancy alone in a high conflict situation with my daughter's father. I can't tell you how many time Mary answered my worried phone calls and provided information, as well as reassurance and emotional support. At 32 weeks I developed preeclampsia and went into labor. Mary was an enormous part, if not completely responsible, for me staying strong during the terrifying experience of having a premature, sick baby as a single mother. Not only did she help guide me through the process of labor, but she also comforted me when my baby was born and immediately ushered away to be stabilized and transferred to a different hospital. I recommend her to any woman seeking the best pregnancy/delivery experience possible.
